Fresh Air – Camp Moosilauke Scholarship Fund

Since its inception in 1904, Moosilauke has been providing selected children from low-income families the chance to attend the Camp, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Historically, this has been possible through a Camp sponsored scholarship program. Over the last decade, Moosilauke has also wholly funded and operated a week long camp for under privileged children from New Hampshire and Vermont.

As part of Moosilauke’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2004, the Camp joined with the Fresh Air Fund to create a scholarship program which allows alumni and friends of Moosilauke to help provide additional children the opportunity to take part in the Moosilauke experience.

The newly created Fresh Air-Camp Moosilauke Scholarship Fund targets children from low–income communities in New York City. The Fresh Air organization helps screen and select deserving children to attend Moosilauke. The organization will also invest and administer all donations to the fund.

There are a number of ways to giveto the fund:

  • Any amount over $50 can be donated directly to the fund in support of campers attending the following summer
  • A named 2.5 week scholarship fund can be endowed with a gift of $34,000
  • A named 4.5 week scholarship fund can be endowed with a gift of $60,000

Unless otherwise requested, all donors will be listed in the Fresh Air Fund’s annual report.

All gifts are tax deductible. Checks should be made out to the Fresh Air—Camp Moosilauke Scholarship Fund, and sent to the address below:
